Water treatment comes in many shapes and forms – and at Grundfos we are able to expertly cover them all with an extensive range of dedicated pumps. Whether you are looking to treat an aggressive media like seawater or to make water ultra pure (WFI), we will provide you with a highly reliable solution that may even filter through to the economy because it allows you to efficiently reuse water.
Grundfos' water treatment pumps offer the following methods of treatment:
- Ion exchange
- Electro-deionization (EDI)
- Evaporation (fresh water generator)
- Chemical dosing
- Reuse of water
All water treatment pumps can be combined with dosing pumps, offering highly accurate dosing of additives prior to or during the treatment process.
What makes Grundfos pumps stand out in water treatment processes is their ability to operate flawlessly, even when continuously exposed to aggressive media or demanding environments. In reverse osmosis processes where the membrane filtering is applied the multistage pump is optimised to handle very high pressure (60 bar) – and is available in a titanium version that is resistant to seawater. At lower pressure, membrane filtration is also suitable for the treatment of ultra pure water for pharmaceutical production, LCD production and production of semi-conductor electronics. Drinking water treatment is carried out using chlorine dioxide to efficiently avoid the dangerous legionella bacteria.
All pumps can be supplied with measurement and control systems that exactly measure and control key water chemistry and process engineering parameters.
|In high-pressure applications like membrane filtering in reverse osmosis processes, the pump is subject to demanding operating conditions.||Grundfos' dedicated high-pressure pumps have been reinforced to be able to generate up to 60 bar pressure – without reducing the life of the shaft seal.|
|In water treatment applications the inlet pressure may be high.||Grundfos offers a special bearing flange for counter-holding the shaft in case of extremely high inlet pressure.|
|The installation space is limited.||Grundfos offers a wide range of compact pumps, including high-speed e-solutions and booster modules.|
