Grundfos Kenya and Life Link

18/04/2013

Grundfos is pleased to announce that the shares in Grundfos Lifelink Kenya (GLK), previously a joint-venture company in Kenya between Grundfos Lifelink (GLL) and IFU (the Danish Investment Fund for Developing Countries) has been fully acquired by Grundfos Holding.

This has allowed us to establish a fully-fledged sales company for the East African sub-region, and which in future will also include the Lifelink activities in East Africa. The company will be named GKE, Grundfos Kenya Pty.

The previous Regional Sales Manager of Grundfos South Africa, Mr David Githendu, is subsequently appointed Deputy General Manager of Grundfos, Kenya and has taken over responsibilities with immediate effect as from 1 April, 2013.

In his new position David will be reporting to Africa Area Managing Director and General Manager of Kenya, Mr Jonathan Hamp-Adams.

David has been with Grundfos for 4 years as Regional Sales Manager for Grundfos South Africa exports (East Africa). David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and MBA in Operations, both from the University of Nairobi. David was also recognised as a Talent in the Talent Green House in 2010.
